SEJARAH

The Physics Study Program and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta were founded based on the Minister of Education and Culture Decree dated October 1, 1996, No. 0297/O/1996. In 2003 the Physics Study Program received the status of Accredited B by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BANPT) of the Ministry of National Education Number: 05910/Ak-VII-S1-029/USFFGA/IX/2003. then in 2009 the Physics Study Program received an A Accredited status (BANPT Decree No. 001/BAN-PT/Ak-XII/S1/III/2009 concerning Status, Rankings, and Results of Accreditation for Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education). Re-Accreditation in 2014 regained accreditation A according to decree no.468/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/XII/2014. And in 2019 the re-accreditation that was carried out succeeded in maintaining the A Accreditation title in accordance with the BAN-PT decree No. 3054/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VIII/2019.

Missions:

  3. Conducting community service based on learning outcomes and research in physics.

Goals:

  1. Produce graduates who:
      • Mastering the theoretical concepts of Physics in general and the theoretical concepts of a special section in the field of physics in depth.
      • Able to formulate procedural problem solving.
      • Able to apply and utilize physics in solving problems in the form of research and be able to adapt to the situation at hand
      • Able to make correct decisions based on analysis of information and data, able to provide guidance in choosing various alternative solutions independently and in groups.
      • is responsible for his own work and can be given responsibility for the achievement of the work of the organization.
      • Able to perform community service by utilizing the results of research and learning.
  2. Producing international quality research for the national interest.
  3. To disseminate the results of education, teaching and research to the community so that there will be a sustainable transformation for a more prosperous life.
